MACHINE QUILTING SERVICES
All quilts are quilted in a smoke-free environment, using Statler Stitcher
computer assisted longarm quilting machine. The Statler can be used for computer accuracy and/or hand-guided quilting
when necessary.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR QUILT TOP AND BACKING
- Quilt top should be pressed with all seams ironed flat.
- All loose and stray threads should be clipped. Stray threads could show through
on light-colored fabric.
- The backing should be a MINIMUM of 8 inches longer and 8 inches wider
than the quilt top.
- Indicate the top of your quilt with a marked piece of paper and attach with a
safety pin.
- When sewing pieces together, use a wide seam (1/2 inch) and press open.
- Please do not use sheets as the backing. The higher thread count may cause skipped stitches.

HOW TO AVOID WAVY BORDERS...!!
- Measure your top in 3 places: top, middle, and bottom, and cut the borders the
average of these measurements if they are not the same.
- Mark both the border piece and quilt edge in quarters. Match the marks and ease
the quilt into borders.
- Too much fullness in the borders will result in "wavy" borders. This will show
and cannot be quilted out. In fact, "wavy borders" may result in pleats.
